I attended the University of Texas Pan American where I received my Masters in Fine Arts and BFA in graphic design. I have worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for the past six years specializing in branding, a broad range of advertising design, and interactive digital campaigns. As a designer, I worked in a corporate environment as part of a large team as well as individually with small businesses on logos, business cards, letterheads, envelopes, brochures, magazine layouts, package design and other collateral.
I began my teaching career at Donna High school. More recently, I taught graphic design as an adjunct Professor at The Art Institute of San Antonio and a photography Professor at The University of Incarnate Word. As a teacher, my goal is to foster a fun and engaging learning environment that effectively teaches graphic design techniques and principles, promotes creativity and encourages growing independence. It is my desire to increase student motivation, awareness, and understanding of the arts leading to successful careers in the graphic design industry. More importantly, I have a great desire to be a positive influence on our future generations.
